Norwich Focusing is a new enterprise led by an established team of therapists, researchers and professionals that aims to improve societal well-being by utilising the benefits of Focusing.
Focusing is an internationally renowned therapeutic process developed by Professor Eugene Gendlin. Its simple and teachable steps clarify and develop ‘right-brain’ experiencing, enhancing connection with our innate ‘emotional intelligence’ in ways that have been shown to reduce stress, anxiety and depression. Focusing teaches individuals to become more resilient and adaptable through a process of self-discovery and awareness.
Importantly, research demonstrates that Focusing prevents mental health problems, which is why Norwich Focusing is committed to building on thirty years’ experience of providing counselling, training and research, including at the University of East Anglia’s Centre for Counselling Studies.
